LoCater App

This IBM led university project was a very open with the brief being that I had to design an app for the food industry. Although there are many table booking and food delivery services available through application services such as OpenTable, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat; one aspect of the food industry which is not on par with the modern day’s ease of access and simplicity in terms of booking, is the catering industry. There are very few, if any, catering company booking apps currently on the market, and those which do offer mobile booking are for individual companies only. The app LoCater looks to help solve this gap in the market with a white labelled catering app that would be used by both customers to order catering companies as well as employees to manage their work. The purpose the app is to bridge the gap between the customer and service provider (catering company) so that there is a seamless interaction and crossover between the customer booking their event and the staff subsequently managing the event.
